The Jonesboro Public School District welcomes the involvement of parents and community members in its schools. Volunteers play an important role in assisting our outstanding staff and in providing real life experiences for students.
There are many ways to volunteer, from short-term, one time events, to a long-term commitment, such as serving on our Board of Education. When a parent, business owner, or other community member shares his or her talents and experiences during a school activity or lesson, our children benefit. Whether you are an interested parent, business owner, or district resident, we have the perfect opportunity for you!
You are encouraged to become involved with Jonesboro Public School District and help enhance student learning!Attend a Board Meeting
The Jonesboro Public School Board meets approximately on the first Tuesday of every month at 6pm in the JPS Central Office and residents are always welcome to attend. Click here for the school board meeting schedule.
Attend a Wellness Meeting
Having healthy choices at school helps keep our children healthy and ready to learn. The school wellness policy helps our school create an action plan for nutrition and physical activity at school. Parents/stakeholders can share their opinions and help make sure the policy is meeting the needs of our students. Contact von.mcdaniel@jonesboroschools.
