Certified Positions

  • Special Education Instructional Specialist  Applicants must hold an Arkansas teaching license in Special Education and have a Master's Degree.  Administrative or supervisory experience in special education preferred.  Must have a minimum of five years teaching experience; the ability to present, coordinate, facilitate ongoing, job-embedded professional development in the area of special education.  Responsiblities include working with teachers to improve core instruction, model best practices, co-teach, and provide timely feedback to teachers following classroom visits and observations.  Candidates must demostrate knowledge of current best practices in standards-based curriculum, instruction and assessment, possess a strong knowledge of the Science of Reading, and have the ability to colaborate with behavioral staff to provide assistance on instructional strategies and interventions that engage students.  This is a three year position funded through ESSER (Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief) federal funds.  Availability of funds are reviewed annually.  Contract Length: 241 Days Stipend: .20

  • Gifted and Talented Teacher  Certification in Gifted and Talented is required.  Experience working with gifted and talented students is preferred.

  • Capturing Kids' Hearts Coordinator Responsibilites include supporting teacher and administrators in the implementation of Capturing Kids' Hearts in all participating schools.  This position will require someone who possesses excellent knowledge of the Capturing Kids' Hearts process, ability to coach teachers through modeling and feedback, and the skills necessary to provide professional development to staff.  Arkansas teacher certification and school Administration experience are preferred.  This is a three year position funded through ESSER(Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief) federal funds.  Availability of funds are reviewed annually.  This is a 207 day contract with a .20 stipend.

  • ESSER Special Projects Coordinator  Responsibilities include: supporting student and community engagement by creating after school tutuoring opportunities for students, organizing summer intervention programs, engaging parents and community in services to support student learning, supporting schools with Response to Intervention, and creating opportunities for innovative services to close educational gaps due to the pandemic.  This position will require someone who possesses excellent organizational and communication skills, innovative thinking, and creative community outreach ideas.  Arkansas teacher certification and School Administration experience are preferred.  This is a three year position funded through ESSER (Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief) Federal Funds.  Availability of funds are reviewed annually. This is a 241 day contract with a .29 stipend.

Bus Drivers

  • At JPS, our Bus Drivers are an integral part of our school district. They are committed to safety, customer service and have genuine, caring attitudes for children. We are proud to offer: Training Leading to Commercial Driver's License (CDL), around 20 hours weekly, no nights or weekends, unless for special circumstances. Starting pay is $15.00 an hour, after 90 driving days, pay moves to $18.39 an hour and you will be contract eligible. Class B CDL is required, but training is provided. Perfect for substitute teachers, retirees, college students or anyone looking for part-time work.
