Certified Positions


  • Elementary Counselor for the 2025-2026 school year.  This position will be split between International Studies and Math and Science Magnet Schools. Applicants must be fully certified or seeking certification in school counseling.

  • STEM Instructional Facilitator at The Academies at Jonesboro High.  Applicants must hold an Arkansas teaching license for grades 7-12 and have a Master's Degree.  Must have a minimum of three years teaching experience; the ability to present, coordinate, and facilitate ongoing, job-embedded professional development.

  • Assistant Superintendent of Teaching & Learning-The Assistant Superintendent of Teaching and Learning provides vision and leadership for innovation and improvement in instruction across all schools in the district. This role includes designing, implementing, and supporting instructional practices and programs for teachers and administrators to become effective educators. The Assistant Superintendent of Teaching and Learning supervises and evaluates district-level instructional staff, professional development, school improvement, Response to Intervention, dyslexia, curriculum, and new teacher mentoring. Experience in designing and providing professional development, supervising teachers and staff, extensive knowledge and experience in instructional methodology, creating and managing state and federal budgets, understanding of the school improvement process, and the leadership skills necessary to influence systematic change is required. Qualifications include a Specialist degree or higher, Arkansas District-Level Superintendent certification, and a minimum of 10 years in administrative/leadership roles.

Classified Positions



  • Special Education Registered Teacher Apprenticeship candidates must be eligible for employment as a special education paraprofessional or similar role within the school district.  Must have 3 years of prior experience as a paraprofessional and have a Bachelor's degree. This program includes 3 years of hands-on experience, regular feedback, ongoing mentorship, and coursework through the Arkansas Department of Education.

  • Computer Technician A minimum of an Associate's degree in Computer Science, CIT, Information Systems or related program is preferred.  Desired tech skills include: Apple Mac and iPad configuration using MDM, Familiarity with basic networking concepts and troubleshooting, fluency in Google Workspace Apps (Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Slides, etc.  The ideal candidate will be reliable, be willing to learn new technologies, have a customer-service mindset and a genuine desire to help others, have a team-oriented mindset and communicate effectively.  Previous K-12 technology experience is a plus.

Bus Drivers

  • At JPS, our Bus Drivers are an integral part of our school district. They are committed to safety, customer service and have genuine, caring attitudes for children. We are proud to offer: Training Leading to Commercial Driver's License (CDL), around 20 hours weekly, no nights or weekends, unless for special circumstances. Starting pay is $20.00 an hour, after 60 driving days, you will be contract eligible. Class B CDL is required, but training is provided.
