Ms. Cynthia Wright, Principal of Health, Wellness & Environmental Studies

Thank you for your interest in Health Wellness and Environmental Studies Magnet School.  We are a Capturing Kids Hearts National Showcase School that works to foster a positive and welcoming environment for our students.  Our school motto is “We are Champions” and our goal is for all our students to find the “Champion” within themselves.

Our students use technology, teacher direct instruction and spend instructional time in our gardens, our STEAM lab, and our nutrition lab to provide hands-on and real-world experiences to enhance their learning.  Our students participate in an annual plant sale for our community selling the plants that have been seeded and grown in one of our two greenhouses. Teachers are encouraged to visit one of our three gardens as often as they can to promote outside learning.

We encourage anyone interested in Health Wellness and Environmental Studies to schedule a short tour.

Sincerely,

Cynthia Wright, Principal

“We are Champions”
