Jonesboro Public Schools has launched an attendance initiative program called "Strive for Less Than Five," designed to encourage students to attend school whenever possible and have no more than five absences per semester. Schools around the district, including VPA, are offering incentives for students who are showing up for school daily. According to Assistant Principal Twyla Nichols, VPA has made a 4% increase in attendance since October 2022. Way to go VPA!
