Visual and Performing Arts Magnet integrates the arts into the core subjects, develops problem solving skills, promotes imagination, teaches teamwork, encourages self-discipline and builds self-confidence and expression.  In addition to the daily arts curriculum, VPA has two major musical productions each year involving all 700 students.  Also, VPA offers a state-of-the-art piano lab, equipped for 30 students to play simultaneously.  VPA is proud of their beautiful collection of African Drums and Suzuki violin program, as well.  VPA spotlights student art on the school's online art gallery at Artsonia.com, as well as in local and state art shows.
