A Message from JHS Band:

 

On April 10, our Symphonic Winds, our Varsity Starters, attended the Arkansas State Concert Contest in Cabot.  This is our most important and prestigious performance of the year.  

 

We received all Superior Ratings from the judging panel and received 2nd place in all of 7A!! The only ensemble that scored higher than we did was the Bentonville Orchestra.  So, Jonesboro has the highest-rated 7A Wind Band in the STATE!!!!   Last year, we were 2nd place in 6A, and this year we moved up a class and still got 2nd place!  

 

I am so proud of my staff and students!  They've been working incredibly hard, and my students say our band class is even more challenging than their AP classes, because they must individually perform at the highest level and expect their peers to do the same. 

 

Thank you for all of the support you give us!!  Without your kindness and support of our kids, none of this would be possible.  It takes a village, and I am incredibly thankful for all of you!
