JKC Counselors
  • The JKC Counseling program addresses the academic, career, and personal/social development of all students. School counselors are advocates, who in partnership with other educators, parents, and the community, will assist all students.


    The Role of the School Counselor:

    • To counsel with students individually and in small groups
    • To present developmental lessons in the classroom and in small groups
    • To serve as an advocate for students
    • To consult with teachers, administrators, school support personnel, parents and business/community agencies
    • To provide resources to parents and encourage parent involvement
    • To provide staff development in identified areas of need and in orientation to the school counseling progra
