Exciting Leadership Announcement for Jonesboro Public Schools!
Misty Doyle Named New JPS Superintendent

The Jonesboro School Board is proud to announce that Mrs. Misty Doyle has been selected as the next Superintendent of Jonesboro Public Schools!
She will officially begin her role on July 1, 2025, following the retirement of Dr. Kim Wilbanks.

“Her extensive knowledge and experience of our district, unwavering commitment to our students and staff, and her dedication to a strong education for all students make her uniquely qualified to continue the district’s legacy of excellence,” said Rev. Dr. Charles Coleman, President of the Jonesboro School Board. “We are confident that under her leadership, our schools will continue to thrive and provide the highest quality education for all our students.”
With 23 years of experience in education, including 17 years in leadership roles at Jonesboro Public Schools, Mrs. Doyle has made a lasting impact as a teacher, principal, School Improvement Specialist, Director of Curriculum, and Assistant Superintendent of Teaching & Learning. She has led major district-wide initiatives in literacy, career pathways, and teacher development, earning recognition as Arkansas Administrator of the Year (2024).
The selection process—led by Education Partners—was rigorous, with over 40 candidates considered. Through outreach, screening, interviews, and collaboration, the board worked diligently to find the best leader to build on the success of Jonesboro Public Schools.
Mrs. Doyle is eager to continue the district’s commitment to student achievement, expanding intervention and acceleration programs, strengthening career pathways, and enhancing community partnerships.
Outside of her professional career, Mrs. Doyle is a dedicated wife and mother. She has been married to her husband, Tim, for nearly 18 years. They have a son, Sam, a 9th grader at Annie Camp Junior High School, and she is also a stepmother to two adult daughters who have blessed her with five wonderful grandchildren.
Please join us in welcoming Superintendent-Elect Misty Doyle as she prepares to lead JPS into a bright future!
