Mrs. Misty Doyle,
Superintendent of Jonesboro Public Schools
Mrs. Misty Doyle serves as the district’s superintendent. She provides the vision and guidance to the district’s 13 campuses. The two pre-k campuses, one kindergarten campus, five elementary magnet campuses, two junior high campuses, one high school campus, one technical center campus, an alternative learning campus, and juvenile detention center are served by 790 employees. Student population is currently over 6,500 students.

Dr. William Cheatham, Assistant Superintendent of Student Services
Dr. William Cheatham is Assistant Superintendent of Student Services. His responsibilities include: Kâ12 Principals/TESS, Parent/Student Concerns, E-School, Athletics, Transportation, Transfers/Choice, Magnet Registration, Expulsion Hearings, Performing Arts Center, Safety/Security, ALE/SUCCESS, Health Services (SBMH/Nurses), Facilities, Foundation for JPS, Technology, Subs/AESOP, and Grade 7 â 12 Interviews. Dr. Cheatham is also the JPS Title IX Coordinator for Jonesboro Public Schools, and is over Licensure and Military Family Education Liason.

Mrs. Amanda Turner-Sanders, Assistant Superintendent of Teaching & Learning
Amanda Turner-Sanders is Assistant Superintendent of Teaching & Learning. Her responsibilities include: Curriculum, Instruction, School Improvement, Professional Development, New Teacher Support, Instructional Coaching, K-6 Interviews, Gifted/Advanced Placement/EOS, Professional Learning Communities, RTI, Dyslexia, Migrant, ELL, Homeless, Parent and Family Engagement, and Federal Programs.

Mr. Kris Williams, Assistant Superintendent of Federal Programs
Kris Williams serves as Assistant Superintendent for Jonesboro Public Schools, overseeing a wide range of district operations that directly impact students, staff, and families. His responsibilities include Federal and State Programs, Food Service, the Northeast Arkansas Career and Technical Center, eSchool State Reporting, and Standards of Accreditation. He also manages district policies, the employee calendar, salary schedules, and Jonesboro Pre-K, ensuring smooth operations across all levels of the district.
In addition, Mr. Williams provides leadership in PEER budgets, Title IX compliance, the student handbook, and grants management, while staying current with legislative updates that affect education.
