SENIORS: Please send Mrs. Williams an email from your school email account telling her what college, university, or technical school that you want your final transcript sent to. Students in Mu Alpha Theta may pick cords up from Mrs. Ritter beginning next Tuesday April 23.

Attention all students! On behalf of Student Council, we will be Painting JHS Black and Gold! Students will be able to purchase a black or gold star with your name on it to be posted around the school. Stars are only $1 and you can purchase as many as you would like. This is your chance to leave something great at JHS. The proceeds will benefit St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in an effort to support Noah Reeves. Stars will be sold during all three lunches starting April 23rd through April 25th. See Ms. Baker for more information.

If there are any boy or girl students (that were not on the golf team this past season) but are interested in being a part of the JHS Golf team for next year – please go by the main office to pick up an information sheet and leave your contact information (or) -- they can also go by Coach Mackey’s classroom and pick up information as well.

Mu Alpha Theta Juniors wishing to be an officer for the 2019-2020 school year should submit a letter to Mrs. Ritter expressing the desired office.  Selection by sponsors will be made based on math classes taken/going to take, grade point average, mathematics interests, and  dependability.  Students should  take into consideration those credentials and share in the letter.  Offices:  President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, Reporter, Student Council Representative. Letters should be submitted by Friday, April 19.

High school cheerleading tryout applications are now available for the 2019-2020 school year. Anyone from 10-12th grade interested should sign up and pick up a tryout packet from the office. 2019-2020 Student Council elections will take place Tuesday April 30. Students interested in seeking council positions in the election can pick up petitions beginning Monday, April 8, from Mr. Waylon Harris in Room B112. Petitions must be turned in to Mr. Harris by Friday, April 12. Campaigns will take place April 22-26. 
*Petitions must be signed by 25 classmates, two teachers and one administrator. Only students in your class/grade level may sign your petition.
*Qualified candidates must have a 2.5 GPA or better, NO MORE THAN 1 ISS assignment in the 2018-2019 school year and NO OSS assignments during the 2018-2019 school year.

The Cane Smart After-School program will be hosting it's final cycle for the 2018/2019 school year from April 2nd to April 25th. This program will offer homework help, tutoring services, AP study groups, Work keys certifications, and much more. As the final stretch of the school year approaches, this will be your chance to find the extra help and time to make sure your grades are the best they can be. The program will be hosted on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons starting at 3:00. Snacks will be available and transportation if needed. To apply, visit your academy office, pick up an application, return it to either your academy office or to Mr. Jones in room A221. Don't forget to purchase your JHS yearbook. Yearbooks are $45 and cover the entire school year, from football season to senior graduation. To order a yearbook, visit www.jostensyearbooks.com, or go see Mr. Harris in room B112.

SENIORS and parents: Don't forget to purchase a commemorative or congratulatory page in the yearbook. Acknowledge your graduating senior's outstanding accomplishment with a special message and current and/or old photographs. Quarter-page, half-page, and full-page spots available.
